I'm Jess Tayel, founder of the Transformation Leadership Institute. I built Elevate because it is the program I wanted when I was inside corporate, navigating complex transformations, carrying the weight of work nobody else could see, and wondering whether the fire I felt in my chest was going to be allowed to actually mean something.

I had a 90 min 1:1 with Jess in the form of a working session where I brought up a key challenge with a client undergoing not 1 or 2 or 5 changes but literally 17 changes in the business. Board changes, C-levels, a newly appointed CEO, a change to the operating model, 7 major transformations, regulatory changes, recent hires, and redundancies of key individuals. A manufacturing and supply chain giant.
Before, my voice was heard and I had a saying. Since Feb 2026 there has been a shift and I felt like I was plugging gaps rather than doing real change capability work. Stakeholders were becoming distant. The newly appointed head of transformation was too traditional, rigid, and all about delivery.
I reached out to Jess thinking it was a dead end. The short call led to a 90 min working session and magic happened. Jess had a way of reframing and challenging me in a way that's healthy. She gave me 7 things to do. We kept close contact on Circle and WhatsApp, and in 1 week I felt the difference. Hello, dear TLI members. I wanted to jump in quickly to share a huge milestone for my business. Since I joined TLI in 2023, I have today signed a contract for another deal we won and reached $2 million in annual revenue for this financial year. This is the biggest milestone in my business so far as a business owner with a very small team. I did not think this would be possible.
I also want to openly and gratefully thank Jess for her support since 2023. She has been my confidant, helped me secure those deals, and has been the person who has been there for me in the tough moments and celebrated my wins and achievements. Mentoring, mentoring, guidance, and support have been a direct factor in reaching $2 million a year, especially as so many businesses are shutting down and cutting costs.

Hi everyone. Just wanted to express my sincere gratitude to Jess for sharing her amazing wisdom, and to this community for your support.
What prompted this post? Last week I started an engagement with a client. What the client asked for was to bring in a small team to provide reviews and quality assurance for work completed by another vendor on a data transformation program. However, what I realised by the end of the first week was that the program didn't just need QA. It needed a complete reset. The quality of the work wasn't the problem. It was a symptom of a much bigger problem. The problem was an almost complete absence of leadership. The client had abdicated ownership.
Now I'm leading the Exec team through a reset of the program. Starting with empowering the Steerco to Steer. To set the vision, articulate the goals for each stage, set the guiding principles, behaviours and expectations. And most of all, to set the team and the program up for success. And they are trusting me to guide them through this.
And I feel competent to guide them on the journey because I'm combining my own experience turning around troubled programs with everything I've learned in this group.

Hey TLI beautiful souls. Sharing my wins with you all as I just got the news (happy day).
1. I have been selected as a speaker for a global conference (first time outside ANZ). Can't say the conference name yet as they asked us not to mention until they have the agenda and speakers finalised. The best part is this is a paid speaking gig. I used to speak for free. And the fees are not bad: 5000 AUD/hour plus accommodation for the whole conference duration.
2. I got a one week (more like 4 days) gig to run 4 change adoption workshops for managers and leaders plus 5 1:1 mentoring sessions. At a rate I didn't think I can reach. I proposed 18,500 + GST and I got it.
I can't thank Jess enough for helping with the speaker bio and topic and helping get my first paying speaker gig, and for challenging me to put my prices up, scoping the workshops, and the killer proposal that got me the gig. Wouldn't have done it without you.
Whilst I am heading towards early retirement, one thing I was missing was going back to a thrilling short term contract. I am very active in my network and travel a lot. But something was missing. My content was outdated. I needed to update my assets and I was getting overwhelmed. It wasn't just about giving them the "Jeuje". It was getting them sharp and aligned with the new thinking I had about a few topics I am recently engaged with.
I tried to sit down with them but nothing much came out.
So, guess what. I showed up and leaned in.
Fast forward after 2 deep dive sessions, Jess's wisdom, big aha moments, and Jess's own AI proprietary tools magic, my intellectual property was on paper in the most elegant, articulate, structured set of assets. Presented these to a few Boards and VCs and the response was overwhelmingly positive. And got a short gig with OpenAI that is super exciting and exactly what I needed.
That's my win. That's what is possible when you do show up and lean in. As Jess says: "whether you are busy and can't find the time or you will make the time and show up. Both are true and you make them happen either way. Your excuse is your reality, choose wisely."
Jess invited me to show up and lean in challenge and I went in. I wasn't sure what I can bring to the table. Things are more or less the same where I am, nothing too challenging and the team was doing a good job. Also I have good relations with all my executive peers.
But now I know Jess saw something I didn't. Jess saw 2 things she called the COIN, as metaphors for 2 sides of the coin.
1. She saw a blind spot I didn't. That my role was slowly but surely diminishing. Not obviously, but in a very subtle way. She picked this up from some of the sound bites I shared with her from my latest meetings with other teams.
2. She saw a massive opportunity to get involved in an impactful way in our very early stage AI agenda which to me was too early to get involved in. I wasn't even asked.
And oh boy, was she right. As I opened my eyes a bit more, yes, things were diminishing. Through mentoring and deep dive sessions with Jess, I now have the playbook of exactly why my team needs to get involved now, what value will I bring, what conversation to have. Did that to the T. Now I am leading the workforce uplifting program (AI skills and operating model). This would have gone to HR or some external consultant flexing their muscles on us.

If I join now, will my membership fee keep going up?

Do you work with members from non-English-speaking markets?

Are there refunds or membership suspensions once I'm in?
